Learners Make a Global Difference: £150 Raised for Educate & Empower Uganda
Before the Summer Holidays learners and staff worked together in the “Rights” lessons to plan and deliver various fundraising activities. Learners spent time learning about children in Masese, Uganda who do not have access to education or adequate sanitation. The school raised a fantastic £150 for a charity called Educate & Empower Uganda. This culminated in a visit from the Chairperson of the charity, last week. Learners were excited to give the money raised. The chairperson then explained to the learners £150 would be enough money to build a community shower in Masese that would improve the quality of life greatly. Please find attached pictures of the process and also a copy of the amazing letter we were sent by the chair of the charity.
